Thank you to everyone who made Saltwater Freshwater Festival 2022 the incredible experience that it was: a true celebration of culture, connection and community. Marking the start of National Reconciliation Week 2022, Worimi, Biripi, Dunghutti and Gumbaynggirr nations came together, inviting all our communities to share in culture, music, art and conversation.
We acknowledge our Elders and cultural practitioners who made this day possible, including Aunty Raylene Ballangarry and Ricky Buchanan for their Welcome to Country and Uncle Martin Ballangarry and Uncle Trevor Ballangarry for the smoking ceremony.
Shout out to all our hard working volunteers, stallholders, performers, workshop facilitators, funders and crew for making such an inspiring event happen. And last but not least – thank YOU – for turning up, participating, listening, dancing and making Saltwater Freshwater 2022 such an overwhelming success.
