This is an opportunity for teachers, parents and schools to discuss and embrace Aboriginal art and culture.
The original artwork created by Birpai artist Corina Latimore was selected by a panel of Elders and community, and depicts Dolphins hunting for fish in the river, inspired by Totem the Dolphin, which can often be seen in the local river chasing fish for a feed.
If you are wanting to learn more about the living Goori culture on the Mid-North Coast, the Saltwater Freshwater Festival is the perfect chance to see and join in on authentic Aboriginal dance, music, arts and workshops.
