Saltwater Freshwater Arts Alliance is excited to announce the much-loved annual Saltwater Freshwater Festival will be held on Dunghutti Country during Reconciliation Week in 2024.
This nomadic Aboriginal cultural Festival moves to different locations each year to cover the Four Nations within the Saltwater Freshwater footprint on the Mid North Coast of NSW. This year the Festival was held on Birpai Country in Port Macquarie, the year before on Gumbaynggirr Country at Eungai and in 2021 on Worimi Country at Forster. This will be the second time for the Festival to travel to Dunghutti Country since its original tour in 2014.
Next year the Festival is set for Saturday 1 st June 2024 in line with Reconciliation Week, and will continue with the theme of Culture. Connection. Community.
Festival venue and more information to be announced soon.
